I’m an author preparing for a June 1 launch of the second edition of my book, Defying Disability. I’m looking for an experienced Squarespace designer to help redesign my current site into a modern, mobile‑friendly platform that supports my expanding author brand.

This is a collaborative project — I’m looking for someone who brings ideas, helps shape structure, and guides me on what I’ll need to maintain going forward. For communication and scheduling reasons, I prefer a U.S.–based designer who primarily communicates by email, and is comfortable and available for occasional phone or Zoom calls when needed.

Phase 1 (Needed by June 1)

Shift the site from a single‑book focus to supporting multiple projects, my author brand (Stories by Dinah), and my imprint (Dynamic Dream Editions)

Redesign for mobile‑friendly, clean, accessible layout

Create a press kit page using content I provide

Set up a new newsletter/mailing list from scratch

Implement SEO optimization and basic best practices

Phase 2 (After June 1, if necessary)

Add blog/story pages

Explore direct sales/e‑commerce options

Add monetization features if recommended

What I’m Looking For

Strong Squarespace experience (design + implementation)

Ability to collaborate, offer recommendations, and guide structure, while also being comfortable taking clear direction when needed

Clear communication; comfortable with email and occasional phone or Zoom calls

Preferred: experience designing author, speaker, or personal‑brand websites

Budget, Timeline & Payment

Budget: $700–$1,200 (depending on scope)

Timeline: June 1 for Phase 1; additional features may occur after launch

Payment: Deposit at project start; final payment upon completion
