<p><strong>Job Title: RN – Operating Room (OR)</strong></p><p><strong> Location: Bakersfield, California</strong></p><p><strong> Contract Duration: 13 weeks contract</strong></p><p><strong> Shift: 8 Hour Day Shifts</strong></p><p><strong> Schedule: 40 Hours/Week</strong></p><p><strong> Pay Rate: $3200/ week</strong></p><p><br></p><p><strong>Job Description</strong></p><p><strong>Under the supervision of nursing leadership, the Registered Nurse independently coordinates and delivers nursing care to acutely ill patients in accordance with the ANA Scope and Standards of Practice, ANA Code of Ethics, and California Nurse Practice Act.</strong></p><p><br></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans. </li><li>Deliver safe and therapeutic nursing care using critical thinking and clinical judgment. </li><li>Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, patients, and families to coordinate care. </li><li>Monitor patient conditions and respond rapidly to changes or emergencies. </li><li>Administer medications and treatments safely according to established protocols. </li><li>Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately. </li><li>Maintain infection prevention and controlled substance compliance standards. </li><li>Participate in staff meetings, competency programs, and continuing education. </li><li>Ensure compliance with hospital policies, nursing standards, and patient safety regulations. </li><li>Provide compassionate, patient-centered care supporting physical, emotional, and spiritual healing. </li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Required Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>Minimum 3 years of RN experience. </li><li>Active and unrestricted California RN License. </li><li>Current American Heart Association certifications: </li><li>BLS </li><li>ACLS </li><li>Strong knowledge of: </li><li>Nursing theory and practices </li><li>Patient assessment and care planning </li><li>Medication administration </li><li>Emergency response protocols </li><li>Medical terminology </li><li>Nursing instruments and equipment </li></ul><p><strong>Education</strong></p><ul><li>Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program. </li><li>Associate Degree required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred. </li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Required Skills</strong></p><ul><li>Nursing Care </li><li>Patient Assessment </li><li>Care Planning </li><li>Nursing Diagnosis </li><li>Nursing Interventions </li><li>Critical Thinking </li><li>Team Collaboration </li><li>Infection Control </li><li>Evidence-Based Practice </li><li>Emergency Protocol Activation </li><li>Medication Administration</li></ul><li><br></li>
